An index of where Chattanooga and Hamilton County legal notices are published, including the City Council's notices and the statewide notice search.
Last checked Oct. 17, 2026. This page is an index, not an official publication. Legal notices in Tennessee are published in newspapers and on government websites; Chattanooga Journal is not a newspaper of record, and nothing on this page replaces the official notice. Use the links below to read the notice itself.
Most legal notices that affect Chattanooga, from rezoning hearings and budget amendments to foreclosures, probate and delinquent tax sales, are published in the newspapers that serve Hamilton County. The Tennessee Press Association collects them in one free, searchable place, Public Notice Tennessee, where you can filter by Hamilton County or Chattanooga. The City Council also posts its own notices online.
