Chattanooga’s biggest Easter gathering, Easter at Coolidge, is already set: a kids’ egg hunt at 9 a.m. and an outdoor worship service at 10 a.m. in Coolidge Park, 150 River St., on the North Shore. Easter at Coolidge, Sunday, March 28, 2027, Coolidge Park. Stuart Heights Baptist Church has brought “families, friends, and neighbors” to the park on Easter Sunday since 2009. The plan for 2027, from the event’s site:

Other congregations, community centers and neighborhood groups announce their egg hunts in February and March. We add each one here with its date, time and ages once the organizer publishes it; we do not list hunts from last year as if they were coming back.

Easter services

Easter at Coolidge is itself an outdoor service. Stuart Heights’ regular Sunday schedule at its Chattanooga campus, 3208 Hixson Pike, is a traditional service at 8:30 a.m. and a contemporary service at 11 a.m., with Sunday school at 7:30 and 10 a.m.; its Hixson and Soddy Daisy campuses keep their own times (Stuart Heights). Churches usually post Easter and Holy Week times in March; check each congregation’s site closer to the date.

Visiting graves: the Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave., is open sunrise to sunset. It allows artificial flowers and potted plants on graves from 10 days before to 10 days after Easter Sunday, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
