Chattanooga’s bakeries are scattered: one bread bakery on Main Street on the Southside, a doughnut shop on Frazier Avenue on the North Shore, two shops on Brainerd Road and a local chain with three stores in East Brainerd, Riverview and Hixson.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Chattanooga’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 18, 2026, and every address was checked against the U.S. Census Bureau’s city-limits map. A Dayton Boulevard bakery turned out to be in Red Bank, one bakery’s web address has lapsed and a few shops with no website of their own are left out for now. The list is alphabetical. The places

Bread Basket is a local bakery with three stores inside the city limits: East Brainerd, in the Food City shopping center; Riverview, on Dorchester Road; and Hixson, next to O’Charley’s. It says everything is made on site daily, and it ships nationwide or holds orders for pickup. Thursday is cookie day.

Gordos Bakery on Brainerd Road is a Mexican bakery and pastry shop, a panaderia y pasteleria. It describes itself as a family business offering authentic Mexican flavor.

Julie Darling Donuts on Frazier Avenue on the North Shore is open mornings until 1 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and takes pickup orders by phone.

Krispy Kreme on Brainerd Road sells doughnuts and coffee. Its Hot Light, the signal that fresh doughnuts are coming off the line, is on daily from 7 to 9 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.

Niedlov on East Main Street on the Southside is a bread bakery with a pizza menu. It serves breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
