Tennessee's high school football finals are Dec. 3-5 at Finley Stadium: the game order, last year's ticket and parking prices and which local teams are alive.

Last checked Nov. 1, 2026. This page is updated each year at the same address. Dates and the venue come from the TSSAA’s Oct. 30 bracket announcement, its football calendar and its playoff information page. Last year’s prices come from the TSSAA’s own 2024 game-week release.

Yes, the BlueCross Bowl is in Chattanooga this year. The TSSAA’s nine high school football state championship games are Thursday to Saturday, Dec. 3-5, at Finley Stadium, the association says. Division II plays Thursday. The 2026 kickoff times and ticket prices have not been posted; the TSSAA usually publishes them the week of the games, and this page will be updated when it does.

The schedule

The finalists are not known until the semifinals: Friday, Nov. 20, for Division II and Friday, Nov. 27, for Division I, on the TSSAA calendar.

In 2023 and 2024 the TSSAA ran the same order, which is the best guide to this year until the 2026 times are posted:

Day 11 a.m. 3 p.m. 7 p.m.
Thursday Division II-AA Division II-A Division II-AAA
Friday Class 3A Class 1A Class 5A
Saturday Class 4A Class 2A Class 6A

The TSSAA’s playoff information page says all championship times are Eastern, which matters for the many Middle and West Tennessee fans who drive in.

Which local teams are still alive

Nine Chattanooga-area teams play first-round games on Friday, Nov. 6, and Baylor (10-0) has a first-round bye as the top seed from the East in Division II-AAA. Home teams for the first round include Tyner Academy, Red Bank, Chattanooga Prep, Silverdale Baptist and McCallie. The full list, with kickoff times, is on our Friday night football page.

Baylor and McCallie met for the Division II-AAA title in both 2023 and 2024, the TSSAA’s game-week releases show.

Tickets

The 2026 prices have not been announced. For the 2024 championships, the TSSAA charged:

  • $12 online in advance, through the end of the day Wednesday
  • $15 for a digital ticket on GoFan from Thursday
  • $20 at the gate

In 2022 the TSSAA said one ticket was good for all three games on the day it was bought, that everyone school-age and older needed a ticket, and that gates opened one hour before the first game.

Parking and getting there

Finley Stadium has 20,421 seats and sits just off West 20th Street, the TSSAA says. In 2024:

  • Parking was $15 a day, cash only, in the North Lot between Main Street and the stadium, first come, first served, with attendants at each entrance.
  • A clear bag policy was in force, and fans were told to expect metal detectors at the gates.

When Finley hosts a UTC home game, the City of Chattanooga closes Chestnut Street between West 17th and West 19th streets, West 19th Street between Reggie White Boulevard and Chestnut Street, and Reggie White Boulevard south of West Main Street, and bans street parking inside the closure, according to its Oct. 28 closure notice. The city posts bowl-week closures in its latest news; we will add them here and on our road construction and closures page. Downtown garages and the free Downtown Shuttle are on our getting around guide.

Can’t be there

In 2023 and 2024 every championship game was carried on a statewide network of television stations and streamed on the NFHS Network, with live audio and stats at TSSAAsports.com.

What this means for you

  • Expect the Southside around Finley Stadium, Main Street and Reggie White Boulevard to be busy from mid-morning to late evening all three days.
  • Buy online before Thursday if the TSSAA keeps last year’s cheaper advance price.
  • Bring cash for parking, and a clear bag.
  • The TSSAA points to the Chattanooga Sports and Events Corp. for BlueCross Bowl hotel information.
